• 1 chicken, separated into pieces, skin on
• ½ cup Kumana Be Original avocado hot sauce
Step 1: Place chicken pieces in a large mixing bowl or a zip-top plastic bag. Pour Kumana over chicken, stirring to coat thoroughly. Cover/zip and place in refrigerator to marinate for at least one hour.
Step 2: When ready to grill, remove chicken from fridge and heat gas grill to medium, about 350° - 400°. Place chicken pieces skin side down and grill for 5-6 minutes.
Step 3: When skin is crispy after 5-6 minutes, turn chicken over and move to an area of the grill without direct heat.
Step 4: Grill, covered, until a thermometer registers 165°F when inserted into thickest part. Turn chicken halfway through grilling. For bone-in thighs and drumsticks, this will take an additional 20 to 25 minutes. Depending on size, bone-in chicken breasts may take slightly longer to reach a safe temperature, about 25-30 minutes.
Step 5: When cooked through, remove chicken from grill, let rest 10 minutes. Drizzle with additional Kumana avocado sauce and enjoy.
